thai fishy fish cakes

tonight for a treat i made some salmon and prawn vietnamese fishcakes. they turned out pretty good and my experimenting worked well- thank god! they were easy too and jammed packed full of ginger, garlic, coriander, fish and chilli. the vietnamese certainly use fresh ingredients and know how to make tasty food. basically blend salmon, prawns, garlic, ginger, chilli, coriander, fish sauce, pepper and salt, and lots of lemon. that's the key i think! i served them with vermicelli noodles and a selection of green beans. its nice to be home and be able to cook for people who will eat my experimenting.
