port chalmers

tomorrow one of dunedin's small villages port chalmers is holding its first biannual seafood festival. normally port chalmers is full of artistic types and i love going out there to the port chalmers design store and a lovely wee cafe port royale. but tomorrow it is going to be quite a different place. not only is there the seafood but craft market, music and busking. i am lucky enough to have a free entry to the event...but for what? 3 hours looking after hundreds of excited sugar loaded kids, a bouncy castle and face painting! what fun! i think i can manage that though knowing that after that i can go and taste the local delights- whitebait, scallops and crayfish. mmm.
